HData is a cloud-based SaaS company that helps anyone working in the US energy industry file, explore, analyze, and leverage regulatory data. Business Intelligence and Compliance tools eliminate the copying, pasting, and checking that has historically crippled productivity, while groundbreaking Regulatory AI can query fully secured data libraries, including private document collections, to sift through thousands of pages to get quick and accurate answers to business-critical questions.
The company was founded in 2018, and recently closed a Series A funding round. We’ve identified high impact roles that can help propel us into the next phase of our growth, and the Marketing Analyst is one of them! The Marketing team at HData is lean and laser-focused on partnering with sales to deliver highly qualified leads to fuel the company’s 200%+yoy growth trajectory.
You’ll be working with seasoned startup leaders and teammates in a highly-collaborative, supportive, and challenging environment. Our team is extremely bullish on the opportunity before us. Our culture is kind and supportive, and we each tackle the day to day with ambition and a here-to-win attitude. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the best startup marketers, sellers, and technologists in the business.
Supporting a robust content strategy, you’ll help turn our pillar assets into easy-to-consume content pieces for distribution through our owned channels (organic social media, hdata.us website, blog, user conferences) and paid/earned channels (events, earned media, ads, promoted editorial, speaking engagements, associations). You’ll help make sure that our prospects see the right content at the right time, no matter how they choose to get their information.
We maintain a heavy event schedule, and you’ll play a big role in making sure every one of our events goes off without a hitch and delivers new, interested prospects. You’ll work closely alongside our sellers to orchestrate event strategy, logistics, campaigns, and follow up.
Additionally, you’ll help us deliver our first customer conference in the fall of 2024. You’ll play a role in building programming that attracts the right attendees, and creates “the best selling day of the year” for our sales team. Logistics, campaigns, and day-of coordination will all be on your plate as we continue to build our customer community in person.
Leading up to our customer conference, you’ll help build connections between our customers and prospects via community group virtual meetups, our Customer Advisory Board, a LinkedIn group, and HData-hosted gatherings at industry events.
Our market, prospects, and use cases continue to grow and evolve as our technology matures. You’ll play a critical role in making sure our team is equipped with the intel needed to capitalize on the opportunity. This includes market research, ABM (account based marketing) research and implementation, web traffic analysis to inform the content strategy, competitive monitoring, and CRM & ads audience building.
The Marketing Analyst will work closely with the Director of Marketing to collaborate with the Sales and Product groups to manage ongoing demand generation. You’ll work closely with our agency partners and software vendors to help build a world-class marketing organization that is far more mature and effective than our size and age would suggest.
This is a fully remote position, however we have offices in DC and Birmingham for local candidates.
Some travel may be required to assist with events.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or other related field and 1 to 3 years related experience. Startup, B2B SaaS, or regulated energy experience is a huge plus. Familiarity with tech tools: Hubspot, Google Workspace, HubSpot, and Slack.
You should have exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly. We need team members who are “bar raisers” and come in and challenge the team to be better than we currently are. You’ll listen and learn, bring new ideas to the table, and find the balance between trying to figure out things on your own and asking for help. You’re an exceptionally strong writer and communicator. You have a team mentality and are ready to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is required to help the sales team be successful.
