Want to create high-quality PDFs for smoother posting to your website and a polished review document? Follow the steps in this guide.
This article outlines the steps for exporting and printing high-fidelity PDF versions from HData Compliance.
Log into HData.
Select “Compliance” from the left-side menu.
Select “Editor” from the Compliance menu to open the list of documents available in your account.
Find the desired document, select “Menu”, “Edit” to open.
With the document open, click the “Export” button at the top of the page.
Select the “iXBRL” option.
A notification will inform you that the export is in progress:
Open the resulting download in Chrome or your preferred browser.
From the Chrome menu options in the upper-right corner next to your profile picture, select “Print.”
Using the “Destination” drop-down menu, select the option to “Save as PDF.”
Under the section for “More settings”:
Adjust Margins to “None.”
Set the scale to “Custom” then type in “87.”
NOTE: The adjustment to margins was made because, with default settings, data tables may not display completely on the page.
Once your settings are configured, click “Save.”
If prompted, give the file a new name and select the location you’d like to save the PDF to.
This new file is your high-quality PDF. You can now print this file or share it digitally.
