As we continue to enhance our modern data stack, we are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing workflow orchestration, developing custom connectors for data ingestion, and leveraging dbt and Snowflake to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our data pipelines.

COMPENSATION:

$60,000 to $65,000 base salary ($70,000-$75,000K OTE with uncapped commission) + stock options

Remote / Hybrid / Office (Birmingham, AL or Washington, DC or New York City)

ROLE OVERVIEW:

HData is seeking to immediately hire a Sales Development Representative to drive continued rapid growth and adoption of the HData Platform, including Regulatory AI, across the energy industry. In this role, you will be responsible for executing our top of the funnel strategy including cold/warm calling, strategic email communication, and LinkedIn outreach to directly link our solution to challenges faced across the industry.

HData is a Techstars backed startup company delivering automated compliance, instant business intelligence, and AI for regulatory energy analysis across the U.S. regulated energy industry.

The HData Platform is the only SaaS solution that allows energy companies and their regulators to quickly and easily prepare their government filings while also instantly generating comparative analytics across hundreds of indicators and millions of data points. The platform turns research that used to take hours into seconds. Our demand is driven by a government mandate from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) which requires all energy companies to begin reporting electronically by December 2021.

HData is headquartered in Birmingham, AL and has satellite offices in Washington, DC and New York City but we are open to working with the right people fully-remote - no matter where they’re located in the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize HubSpot, Gong, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools to support your outreach strategy and drive funnel growth

  • Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest appropriate products or services

  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives

  • Report to the sales team with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

  • On a typical day you may generate a 3-part email sequence to drive meetings at a conference, follow up on marketing qualified leads for conversion to demos, or prospect new leads across a variety of verticals for direct outreach

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A strong drive to sell technology to key energy executives

  • Resiliency in the face of a “no”

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing or related field

  • Ability to travel as needed up to 30% of your time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have a strong track record exceeding quota

  • Have experience within the energy or public sectors

  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS platforms

  • Experience working in a startup environment
